Some members of the Trump family are showing signs of fatigue in the White House. Ivanka Trump hinted that she may avoid a return to her position as White House senior advisor for a possible second term. “I am driven, first and foremost, by my kids and their happiness, so that is always going to be my top priority, and my decisions will always be flexible enough to ensure that their needs are being considered,” she told Face the Nation. “They will really drive that answer for me.”
Ivanka has recently helped pass a bill that secures 12 weeks of paid parental leave for federal employees, but the increase to the Child Tax Credit that she helped pass already benefits wealthy families.
On controversial issues such as family separations at the US-Mexico Border, she has remained quiet. On The View, Ivanka was asked why she hasn’t opposed the policy. Her response was that she was “not the president of all women’s issues. Once again she has doubled-down on her stance this week by stating that “immigration is not part of my portfolio.” Her father has hinted at nominating her as head of the World Bank and he has had her represent the U.S. at G20 in 2017.
Ivanka might be out of the White House whether it is by her choice or by the voters choice.
