Over the weekend, Ivanka Trump and the husband Jarred Kushner hosted the event to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary at Camp David.

Despite the impeachment inquiry, the President Donald Trump joined his daughter and son-in-law at the party. According to a White House Official, all the costs were covered by the couple.

“Expenses at Camp David are covered by the family,” said the White House official. “Jared and Ivanka will be paying out of pocket.”

However, Donald Trump’s tweet has caused a bit of confusion regarding, who exactly covered the event costs.

“Had a beautiful dinner last night at Camp David in celebration of the 10th Wedding Anniversary of Ivanka and Jared,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Attended by a small number of family and friends, it could not have been nicer. Camp David is a special place. Cost of the event will be totally paid for by me!”

Earlier, the president made a not-so-kind comment about the historic presidential retreat. “Camp David is very rustic. It’s nice, you’d like it,” he reportedly told a European journalist. “You know how long you’d like it? For about 30 minutes.”

Jared and Ivanka tied the knot in 2009 at her father’s golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.
