She may seem tough, but Rihanna is just like any other girl on the inside.
"I do have a vulnerable side. I think a lot of people have a misperception of me," she told Kanye West for Interview Magazine. "They only see the tough, defensive aggressive side. But every woman is vulnerable." And the pop star also wants what a lot of others want: a family.
"I don't really plan on the age," she said of her plans for motherhood. "It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right. I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I'll just know."
Rihanna, 22, is currently dating L.A. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, 26. When she does have kids, she says she'd "love to bring them up in Barbados." She described her home country as idyllic. "It was perfect, really," she said. "We basically spent the entire day on the beach with summer all year round." But she also realizes that her career could make such a move difficult. "I can't live that far away from everything now, without kids," she said. "So I certainly couldn't raise kids and [have a career] with the demanding schedule that I have."
Rihanna is also anticipating passing down some of her feisty genes to a daughter in the future. "If I had a girl, she'd probably be really rebellious," she said. "She would be like a bundle of karma." –AMY LEE
