IRS Places Lien On Rudy Giuliani’s $4.5 Million Palm Beach Penthouse

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has taken action against Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and attorney for former President Donald Trump, in the form of a lien placed on his $4.5 million penthouse.

The federal tax agency says that Giuliani owes $549,435.26 in unpaid income taxes for 2021. Filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, the lien allows the IRS  a portion of the profits from Giuliani’s condo, were it to ever sell.

The penthouse is located three miles north of Mar-a-Lago, on the fifth floor of an aging post-modern complex built in 1969.

Giuliani currently faces a host of legal troubles, which includes 13 felony counts of racketeering charges in Georgia for attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Records show that in February 2010, Giuliani and his then-wife Judith Nathan purchased the three-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot condo for $1.4 million in cash.

In 2019, the couple divorced and Nathan signed the condo over to Giuliani.

Giuliani has a past riddled with tax problems. In 2019, he admitted that in order to pay his 2018 tax bill, he had borrowed $100,000 from a former law partner and friend after he claimed the divorce proceedings with his wife had delayed access to his bank accounts.

Giuliani’s biographer, Andrew Kirtzman, revealed that Giuliani had lost a significant amount of his $100 million fortune through irresponsible purchases, legal bills and two divorces since 2002.

In July, Giuliani’s Manhattan co-op was listed for sale at $6.5 million.

Giuliani also faces a defamation lawsuit filed by two Georgia election workers, who falsely said he had manipulated the ballots.

Robert Costello, Giuliani’s lawyer and friend, also filed a lawsuit against Giuliani for $1.36 million worth of unpaid legal bills. Giuliani was among the Republican officials who were arrested in Georgia alongside Trump.

Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has also accused Giuliani of “hacking and manipulating” Hunter’s old laptop, a violation of the the federal Compute Fraud and Abuse Act.
