InfoWars’ Alex Jones’ Wife Gets Restraining Order As Sandy Hook Families Seek Payment Of $1.5B Judgment

Alex Jones, founder of the conspiracy theory website InfoWars, is divorcing his wife, Erika Wulff, after she filed a restraining order against him.

Jones submitted a petition on Sept. 9, 2024, citing discord or conflict of personalities as his seven-year marriage to Wulff is ending. The same day, he requested a temporary order against his wife, which was granted by a judge on Sept. 20.

The court docket shows Wulff also filed a petition for divorce before asking for an emergency restraining order on March 12. Jones filed a motion to seal the records nine days later. The now-estranged couple wed in January 2017, and they share one child.

Jones was previously married to Kelly Jones, whom he divorced in March 2015, and has three children with her. He previously had custody of their eldest children. However, Kelly won joint custody in April 2017 due to Jones’ behavior, claiming in a 2017 interview with Inside Edition that he was “mentally ill and a danger to society.”

“To me, he should be protected from himself and others,” Kelly said. “He doesn’t have any moral compass. He lives in his universe, and he is a delusional man.”

Jones previously came under fire back in 2014 for his false claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting in 2012 was “a hoax.” He repeatedly spread disproven theories that no one had died in the tragedy, calling the event “staged” and “completely fake with actors.” The shooting, which shocked the nation, claimed 26 lives before the shooter, Adam Lanza, took his own life.

A judge ordered Jones to pay nearly $1.5 billion in damages for defaming the victims of the shooting, which he later conceded was “100 percent real.”
