Iggy Azalea Laughs At Sex Change Rumors On ‘Watch What Happens Live’

Iggy Azalea still can’t get over the rumor that hit the Internet over a year ago claiming that she was born a boy and had undergone a sex change ahead of becoming famous.

Azalea stopped by Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live Thursday, and laughed about the most ridiculous rumor she’s faced since becoming tabloid fodder.

“The craziest rumor that I’ve ever heard, that really went around, was that I had a sex change when I turned 18 and that I was born with a penis and my name was Corey,” Azalea told Cohen. “Why would my name be Corey? It would be Liam, that’s my boy name. My mom always said if I was a boy I’d be named Liam.”

While Azalea denies ever having surgery to change her sex, she does openly admit to having plastic surgery to alter her appearance. In the past, she has revealed that she’s gone under the knife to get a nose job and breast augmentation. According to the Australian rapper, there’s no point in being coy about something that everyone is going to notice and gossip about anyway.

“If you’re going to do something that’s obvious [it’s best to be open]. Everyone’s seen what your nose looks like before,” said Azalea, before getting in a dig at those who try to hide the work they’ve gotten done. “Some people are like, ‘It’s contouring!’ Yeah, contouring with a chisel.”

Azalea released her latest song, “Team,” last week.
