American Idol reached its top 12 finalists Thursday night – dumping two girls and two guys in a shocking results show. For the boys, it came down to Alex Lambert and Andy Garcia. When Alex was dismissed, he seemed crushed by the news and had to hold back tears. Broadway singer Todrick Hall was the other male receiving his walking papers.
Later in the show, Ryan had female basement dwellers Lilly Scott and teen Katie Stevens on stage together. Lilly was ultimately deemed the weakest link. Earlier in the evening, Katelyn Epperly was dismissed by Ryan.
