Fisherman in Bermuda caught and released a 14-pound lobster over the weekend following Hurricane Nicole.
Bermuda got hit with plenty of wind and rain from the hurricane, despite the fact that the hurricane never actually landed there. The fishermen were in the area searching for snapper and accidentally caught the 14-pound monster.
While most lobster grow to be about three feet or longer, this one is nowhere near the biggest on record. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, a lobster weighing in at just over 44 pounds was the biggest ever caught.
The Sanctuary Marine Bermuda Facebook page posted a picture of the 14 pounder, saying “Hurricane Nicole blew in some sea monsters.” The post has been shared more than 19,000 times.
