Hunter Hayes Breaks Out New Song '˜Invisible'™ At 2014 Grammys

Up-and-coming country singer Hunter Hayes debuted his latest single “Invisible” during the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

Hayes, 22, sat down at the piano to kickoff the performance of his new song. As the tempo and emotion of the song picked up, Hayes rose from his seat to belt out the lyrics while strutting about the Staples Center stage.

“Crowded Hallways are the loneliest places for outcasts and rebels
Or anyone who just dares to be different
And you've been trying for so long to find out where your place is
But in their narrow minds, there's no room for anyone who dares to do something different
Oh, but listen for a minute,” sang Hayes from the piano.

“Trust the one who's been where you are wishing all it was sticks and stones
Those words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone
You're not invisible,” the singer continued.
“Hear me out, there's so much more to life than what you're feeling now
Someday you'll look back on all these days and all this pain is gonna be… Invisible
Oh, invisible.”

Following Hayes’ Grammy performance, the lyric music video for "Invisible" was released on YouTube.

"Invisible" is the latest single off of Hayes' second album, slated for release in May of this year. He’s scheduled to begin a 19-date tour titled We’re Not Invisible this March, which will feature stops in cities across the southern U.S.

Hayes’ “I Want Crazy,” a track from his 2011 debut album that was released in 2013, was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance. The Grammy ultimately went to Darius Rucker for “Wagon Wheel.”
