The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 teaser trailer is officially here, giving fans the first look at the conclusion to The Hunger Games saga.
Jennifer Lawrence once again takes center stage in the final Hunger Games film, which sees the conclusion to the four film saga. Josh Hutcherson, who stars as Peeta in the films, hinted at the release of the trailer on Twitter on Thursday, June 4.
As Hutcherson promised, the first trailer for Mockingjay – Part 2 was released on Tuesday, June 9, and it packs a punch. In the trailer, Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence), the Girl On Fire, is determined to kill President Snow, a goal that will require entering a booby-trapped Capitol and waging war.
The first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film features glimpses Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Annie’s (Stef Dawson) wedding and guests Effie (Elizabeth Banks), President Coin (Julianne Moore), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and Plutarch (Philip Seymour Hoffman). The scene also features returning players Evan Ross, Natalie Dormer and Jena Malone. The trailer later previews Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) in her Hunger Games debut as Commander Lyme.
But, most importantly, the trailer also teases the reunion between Katniss and Peeta, who were separated for the duration of Mockingjay – Part 1, and their awkward interactions with Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters Nov. 20, 2015.
