'Hunger Games' And Katy Perry Win Big At People's Choice Awards

The People’s Choice Awards were held on Wednesday in Los Angeles. According to the results, The Hunger Games and Katy Perry, 28, are the favorites of the voting public.

The Hunger Games won five trophies overall. The film took home awards for Favorite Movie, Action Movie and Franchise. The film’s stars (pictured on the red carpet), Jennifer Lawrence, 22, Josh Hutcherson, 20, and Liam Hemsworth, 22, won for favorite on-screen chemistry. Lawrence won individual awards for Favorite Movie Actress and “Face of Heroism.”

Perry won four awards in total, including Favorite Female and Pop Artist. Her video “Part of Me,” also won an award and she won for favorite music fan following – the KatyCats.

Taylor Swift, 22, won for Choice Country Artist. As she was accepting the award, Swift was interrupted by award presenter Olivia Munn, 32. Unlike the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, in which Kanye West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech, this was all in good fun. “This always happens,” Swift joked.

Ellen Pompeo and Nathan Fillion won for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress and Actor, respectively. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston won Favorite Comedic Movie Actor and Actress. Both Lea Michelle and Chris Colfer took home comedic acting awards for Glee. Ellen DeGeneres won her 13th award for her daytime talk show. And, Sandra Bullock recieved the first humanitarian award given at the ceremony.

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, 27, hosted the awards show. Among those performing were Christina Aguilera, 32, Jason Aldean, 35, and Alicia Keys, 31.
