Hulk Hogan Takes Gawker To Court Over Sex Tape, Taunts Site On Twitter

Hulk Hogan‘s lawsuit against Gawker Media for his leaked sex tape went to trial this week.

Hogan is suing Gawker for $100 million for publishing a clip from a sex tape of him with Hether Clem. The six-time WWE Heavyweight champion claims that by publishing the tape, Gawker violated his privacy.

In Hogan’s tweets, he’s pretty confident he’s going to come out on top in the trial. “Time for the real main event!”I AM” going to slam another Giant! Hogan vrs Gawker! Watcha Gonna Do Gawker? Only Justice Brother HH,” Hogan tweeted Tuesday.

Back in 2012, Gawker published a 1-minute, 41-second clip from the sex tape. The article that accompanied the clip detailed the 30-minute tape in its entirety. According to the post, the clip had been handed over to Gawker for no cost by an anonymous source.

Even more scandalous than the sex tape itself is that Clem was still married to Bubba Clem at the time it was filmed – but even that wasn’t the most damaging aspect of the tape. What tarnished Hogan’s name and sunk his career with the WWE was the audio, which featured him saying the n-word.

“I don’t know if Brooke was f–king the black guy’s son. I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f–king n—-rs,” he allegedly said to Clem. “If she was going to f–k some n—-r. Have her marry an 8-foot-tall n—-r worth a $100 million! Like a basketball player!”

As a result of Hogan’s comments in the leaked video, the WWE decided to fire him.

Hogan and Gawker’s trial is expected to last about three weeks. July selection, which began on Tuesday, continued Wednesday.
