Nicolas Cage & Maika Monroe Turn Heads On ‘Longlegs’ Red Carpet

Nicolas Cage and costar Maika Monroe attended the premiere of the upcoming horror film Longlegs in Hollywood. 

Cage wore a stylish black suit paired with a white dress shirt. The suit jacket featured a subtle shimmer, adding a touch of elegance to his classic look. Monroe wore a black leather bralette paired with matching black leather pants, showcasing a daring and edgy fashion sense.

Cage’s transformation for his role in the film has reportedly left a lasting impression on set, with one costar’s heart rate spiking to 170 beats per minute upon seeing him in character.

The film, directed by Oz Perkins, follows FBI agent Lee Harker (Monroe) as she pursues a long-elusive serial killer known as Longlegs, portrayed by Cage. Set in the 1990s, the plot involves occult elements that the protagonist must unravel to stop the killer’s spree.

Marketing for Longlegs has built suspense by largely concealing Cage’s appearance, with trailers showing only glimpses or obscuring his face entirely. However, leaked images suggest a dramatic departure from Cage’s usual look, featuring pale blue skin, blonde hair and altered facial features.

Cage’s vocal performance of the character has been described as unsettlingly childlike, adding to the film’s eerie atmosphere.

While Perkins’ previous horror efforts have received mixed audience reactions, early critical response to Longlegs has been positive. The film is being promoted as potentially one of the year’s most frightening releases.

In 2019, Monroe spoke to uInterview exclusively about her film Villains. 

“It was a really safe environment where we could explore and do crazy things,” she said before adding that acting in a comedy was “new” for her until the experience of working on this film.
