Heidi Klum attended New York Fashion Week with Project Runway pals Zac Posen, Jessica Alba, and Nina Garcia.

The finalists in the reality competition show were there to debut their own fashion lines, as did Klum herself. While only four episode of the show’s 16th season have aired so far, NYFW was the perfect time to strut their fashion chops. Klum looked gorgeous in a purple dress with a draping bow and plunging neckline. “Fashion is for everyone!” she exclaimed to the crowd.

Klum herself debuted her own fashion line this season, saying she’s always wanted to be a fashion designer. “I sent all my paper work to the design schools in Germany and the design school in Düsseldorf said yes. If I didn’t win my modeling competition I would have gone to fashion design school in Düsseldorf,” she said in a recent interview. “So, it all has come full circle, and I ended up doing exactly what I always wanted to do. I always loved designing, and I am a very creative person but never to this extent. I have never done anything so big in my life. I am so proud that I was able to put this together with my new partner [German superstore Lidl].”

Of her new looks, Klum definitely has some favorites, and she wasn’t afraid to share. “I love the leopard patterned suit. I think the leopard print is a new classic! It is bold but also really sophisticated. And the jeans – those took a ton of fine-tuning before we were satisfied, because they needed to be perfect in every size, from 4 to 12… I also love the shiny black bomber jacket and the leather jacket. But truly it’s very difficult for me to choose anything,” she said after choosing three.

Switching gears to how she dresses herself everyday, Klum shared that what she wears really depends on her mood. “Sometimes I feel a bit more bohemian, sometimes flirtier, or sexy and then I will wear a miniskirt with knee boots, but if I would like to look more business-like, I usually pick a blazer with jeans. But I also like to wear boyfriend pants with a simple top,” she said. “Obviously, it also depends on my daily plans.”
