‘Home Alone’ Reboot To Premiere On Disney+ On Nov. 12

Disney+ announced that the Home Alone reboot – starring The Office actress Ellie Kemper and Catastrophe actor Rob Delaney – will premiere on the streaming service on Nov. 12.

The film – Home Sweet Home Alone – is a reboot of the 1990 Home Alone movie and will be the franchise’s sixth movie. In the first two films, Macaulay Culkin played Kevin McCallister.

The script for Home Sweet Home Alone was written by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. The director for the film was Dan Mazer and Jeremiah Samuels was the executive producer.

The film follows the story of a young boy – Max Mercer (Archie Yates) –  who is left behind while his family travels to Japan for the holidays. A married couple attempts to steal from the Mercer family home while Max is on his own.

“Hilarious hijinks of epic proportions ensure, but despite the absolute chaos, Max comes to realize that there really is no place like home sweet home,” read an official description.
