A Holland America cruise ship with 40 guests and 47 crew with flu-like symptoms plans to dock in Florida.
Originally, the ship was granted permission to dock in Chile but was later denied. There is no available testing for coronavirus on the ship.
“Since is is flu season, and COVID-19 testing is not available on board, it is difficult to determine the cause of these elevated cases at this time,” a member of the crew stated.

All 1,243 guests have been asked to self-isolate in their staterooms as the ship sails to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Those who are experiencing symptoms have already isolated themselves along with their close contacts, according to the statement.
“The safety and well-being of our guests and crew is one of our highest priorities.”
The ship is set to arrive in Fort Lauderdale on March 30.
