PHILADELPHIA, PA - NOVEMBER 05: Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (R) raises her arms with recording artist Katy Perry (L) during a get-out-the-vote concert at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts on November 5, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With three days to go until election day, Hillary Clinton is campaigning in Florida and Pennsylvania.
Katy Perry debuted her self named show collection in February, and names each design after a woman she admires.
Hillary Clinton is one of the woman to have a shoe named after her. Perry was an avid Clinton supporter throughout the 2016 elections. The Hillary is a pink suede pump with gold moons and stars in the clear heel. It is also available in seafoam green.
Perry took to Instagram yesterday to post a candid photo of the politician wearing her namesake heels. “POWER PUMP your way over to katyperrycollections.com for the last few hours of the spring 25% sale!” she captioned the pic. “@HillaryClinton is wearing #TheHillary (OMG I LOVE HER SO MUCH).”
Perry had previously explained her naming process to PeopleStyle. “I chose some of my favorite girlfriends and my female family members and named all the shoes after them,” she said. “I tried to pair the shoes that best represented their personality. I didn’t necessarily shape the shoe after them, but I decided to make the shoes more name specific in the end.”
Other styles, for example, are named after Girls stars Lena Dunham and Allison Williams.
