Hilary Duff, Katy Perry & Chris Evans Cuddle Up To Their Pups On National Dog Day [Photos]

Every dog has its day, especially today on August 26 – National Dog Day.

Hilary Duff, Katy Perry, Sarah Hyland, Chris Evans and a slew of other stars took to Instagram to honor their beloved canines on the special day.

Younger star Hilary Duff shared a shot of herself cuddling her golden retriever Izzy with the hashtag nationaldogday.

While Katy Perry posed with her incredibly adorable teacup poodle Nugget, captioning the post: “Just some #SmallTalk on #InternationalDogDay with @missnuggetperry. See you at The Mutt Ball, where we make fetch happen, on Friday, August 30.”

Sarah Hyland also joined in on the action, posting four snaps of the cuties she and her beau Wells Adams share. “Every day is #nationaldogday in the Hyland/Adams household,” the Modern Family star wrote.

Bachelor Nation alum Wells Adams got in on the doggy love as well, posting a pic alongside a pup named Carl in a birthday hat.

 

Captain America Chris Evans showed off his soft side on the holiday with a photo of him and his rescue dog, Dodger.

National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate, Colleen Paige.

It celebrates all breeds, pure and mixed, and helps galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year.
