Hilary Clinton Sells ‘But Her Emails’ Mugs Amid Trump’s Document-Shredding Scandal

Former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton tweeted a link to a coffee mug with the slogan “but her emails,” jabbing at the GOP and former President Donald Trump.

“Take a sip from your new mug as you read the news,” Clinton tweeted with a picture of her mug, along with the headline from The Washington Post about Trump’s recent document-shredding scandal.

The mug has a famous photo of Clinton wearing sunglasses and scrolling on her Blackberry. Clinton famously used a private email server during her time as Secretary of State. Trump, her opponent in 2016, constantly criticized her actions as “illegal.” It was later determined by the FBI, after years of investigation, that Clinton should not face criminal charges for her actions.

While the congressional committee continues investigating the attack on the U.S. Capitol, over one year later, the committee received taped-up White House records from the National Archives that had been originally ripped apart by Trump.

“Some of the Trump presidential records received by the National Archives and Records Administration included paper records that had been torn up by former President Trump,” the National Archives confirmed in a statement.

Trump tried in keeping the bipartisan House committee from reviewing the documents as part of their investigation of last year’s riot, but that request was rejected by the Supreme Court.

The former president has a habit of destroying important records.

The Presidential Records Act requires that official White House materials must be preserved and sent to the National Archives as historical records. In order to comply with this requirement, Government employees were required to reconstruct the files ripped by Trump.

The archives recently sent staff to Mar-a-Lago to retrieve boxes of documents that should have been handed over a year ago.
