Henry Cavill To Return As Superman In Upcoming Film

Henry Cavill is in negotiations with Warner Brothers and DC Comics to return as Superman in an upcoming film. Cavill is not going to have his own film, but rather appear in either Shazam 2, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam or Aquaman 2, which are the movies next in line for production after coronavirus health restrictions are lifted.

Cavill has played the role of Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, Batman V Superman in 2016 and Justice League in 2017.

In the past few years, there were rumors that Cavill had given up playing Superman. In November 2019, he told Men’s Health, “I’m not just going to sit quietly in the dark as all this stuff is going on.” He later explained, “I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see.”

Last week, Cavill appeared on Snyder’s Vero Watch Party for Man of Steel. At the end of which Snyder announced that the director’s cut of Justice League is going to be on HBO Max in 2021. Cavill also made this announcement on his Instagram. He posted a black and white photo of himself posing as superman with the caption, “Just had a little chat with Zack Snyder after a man of steel watch party.

Ladies and Gents, it finally happened. The Snyder cut will be out next year!
