Heidi Klum’s Son, Henry Samuel, 18, Debuts As A Model At Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

Supermodel Heidi Klum’s son, Henry Samuel, officially made his runway debut on Tuesday.

Appearing twice, Henry, 19, strutted down the walkway at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Both times, he wore a black suit, one with a dramatic open back and the other enhanced by an oversized black ribbon scarf. 

Before the show, Henry told Vogue Germany, “I’m more excited than nervous… I’m going to do my best and try to enjoy every moment to the fullest!”

He added, “I don’t do a lot of preparation, but since I usually wear dark nail polish, I kept my nails a little more neutral for my arrival in Paris.”

Henry’s hairstylist told Vogue, “To make Henry feel comfortable, we didn’t change his natural look…with the dread, it is particularly important to capture the texture…For Henry’s hair, I use a special Afro sponge.”

In a post to Instagram a few hours after the show, Klum shared a clip of her son sauntering down the runway, accompanied by the proud caption, “Opening the Lena Erika Haute Couture Show in Paris❤️❤️❤️.”

Klum shares Henry and her children, Jonah and Lou, with her ex-husband Seal. She also has a daughter Leni with her ex, Flavio Briatore.

Describing his parents, Henry told Vogue, “I admire the hard work they put into their success every day. Their creativity inspires me, and they have always encouraged my siblings and me to pursue our own artistic interests.”

Henry shared some of the modeling advice he received from his mother and half-sister Leni, who is also a model: “Lena told me to look straight ahead and walk as if I was balancing a book on my head…my mother told me to do my best and not forget to have fun. My mother often reminds me to pay attention to my posture, so I try to heed her advice.”

According to the young model, the runway was not where he pictured himself ending up. “I have many interests – sports, music, film and fashion,” he said. “I want to use the different creative experiences that are available to me to find the right path for my future.”

Last June, Klum shared a video of Henry’s high school graduation, captioning the post, “CONGRATULATIONS HENRY We are all sooo proud of you ❤️ You did it my beautiful boy. College here we come 🥳🎉 SHINE BRIGHT ❤️.”
