Heather Morris Asks Permission To Help Search For Missing ‘Glee’ Co-Star Naya Rivera
Heather Morris has asked permission of authorities to help search for her Glee co-star Naya Rivera. Rivera went missing on July 8 after renting a boat at a lake with her four year-old son Josey Hollis in California. Josey was found unharmed on the boat and explained to investigators that he and his mother went swimming, but Rivera never got back on the boat.
Morris responded to a tweet posted by the Ventura County Sheriff. She said, “My name is Heather Morris, I’m Nayas close friend and co-worker, and I’m trying to conduct an on foot search and rescue mission along with a small group of friends at Lake Piru. I understand your team is doing EVERYTHING in their power, but we are feeling helpless, powerless and want to help in any way. I have left a message with the department of Rescue and Air today, and I will call again tomorrow. Thank you.”
Morris also took the time to thank those who are doing everything that they can to help find Rivera. She wrote, “Thank you to the Tulare County, Los Angeles County, San Louis Obisbo, and all who are working to tirelessly right now in the search and recovery of our Naya.”
Previously, Rivera’s mother Yolanda, father George, her brother Mychal and her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey were also spotted at the lake where Rivera last was.
The day before she was reported missing, Rivera had tweeted a photo of her kissing her son. She captioned it, “just the two of us.”
