Filmmaker Shekhar Kap took to his Twitter to remember actor Heath Ledger on what would be his 37th birthday.
Kapur, 70, directed the actor in his 2002 movie The Four Feathers.
“He went too young. But then I always told Heath there was an ancient wise spirit in his young mind. His spirit rose,” Kapur wrote on Twitter.
The filmmaker also tweeted, “No one that came across Heath Ledger in his short life could forget the sheer energy that he enveloped u with..”
Fan-made accounts for the actor have also made tributes to Ledger on his birthday.
Ledger died on January 22, 2008 in New York City from an accidental intoxication from prescription drugs.
