Heart is back!
Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson will be making a comeback to perform together after five years.
Though recent years haven’t seen the sisters onstage together, both have continued to perpetuate the 70s rock band songs. Nancy toured in 2022 under a different name, Nancy Wilson’s Heart, in 2022, mainly singing Heart songs, while Ann had her own band called Tripsitter.
The Royal Flush Tour will launch on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, and will make stops in major cities like Atlanta, Boston and Montreal before performing their final show in Morrison, Colorado, on Sept. 22.
Joining Heart for most dates will be fellow 70s rock band, Cheap Trick. On other selected dates, fans will have a chance to see Journey and Def Leppard.
The upcoming tour could also be considered a reunion of sorts. In 2016, the sisters had a falling out after Ann’s husband, Dean Wetter, was arrested for assaulting Nancy’s teenage twin sons. Both sisters assured Rolling Stone that they were still friends, though.
“I do see a positive way forward and that’s our friendship,” Ann said. “Nancy and I didn’t do this thing. We are each other’s friends and have been and will after this.”
As for Nancy, she said she knew “in her gut that [she] and Ann [were] going to be fine.”
“We love each other and we’ve weathered all kinds of stuff in the past together no one would ever imagine and this is just one of those things,” Nancy said.
