Dozens of women who accused Harvey Weinstein claiming sexual misconduct have tentatively reached a $25 million settlement.
The settlement will not entail Weinstein to admit any wrongdoing or pay for anything personally. Instead, the insurance companies representing his old studio, The Weinstein Company.
The $25 million is part of a total deal of $47 million which is going to settle Weinstein’s and his old production company’s obligations to the case.

This was not the first settlement that was believed to be reached in this case – a $44 million deal was reported in May with $30 million to be dispersed to the victims.
Thomas Giuffra who is representing television producer Alexandra Canosa said “nothing is fair or just” in regard to the settlements discussed.
Weinstein still has to await his criminal trial in January for sexually assaulting two women.
