Former White House press secretary Anthony Scaramucci was erroneously listed as deceased in the most recent edition of the Harvard Law School alumni directory.
Scaramucci, who resigned from his White House position after just 11 days, graduated from Harvard Law in 1989. He has been involved with the school since, serving as an “expert in residence” there in 2012 to give financial and investment advice to current students.
Scaramucci’s name was listed with an asterisk next to it, indicated that he had died. “Regrettably, there is an error in the Harvard Law School alumni directory in the listing for Anthony Scaramucci,” Harvard Law spokeswoman Michelle Deakin wrote in a statement. “We offer our sincere apologies to Mr. Scaramucci. The error will be corrected in subsequent editions.” The directory is updated and redistributed every five years.
Scaramucci founded the SkyBridge Capital investment fund in 2005, and was a senior official for the US Export-Import Bank before taking his short-lived post at the White House.
Scaramucci shocked everyone last week when he gave an expletive-ridden interview, which targeted then-chief of staff Reince Priebus, who was also let go, and chief strategist Steve Bannon. Scaramucci pledged to clean up his act, only to have the White House announce his resignation on Wednesday. The same day, Gen. Jon Kelly was sworn in as the newest member of Donald Trump‘s rotating cabinet as chief of staff.
