Harry Styles Gets Butterfly Tattoo On His Chest

Harry Styles’ latest body art is a sprawling black-inked butterfly in the center of his chest, adding to his already impressive roster of tattoos.

Styles' tattoo artist, Liam Sparkes, first posted the photograph of Styles on his Flickr account on Jan. 22. Since Styles' face is cut off in the photo, it’s not readily apparent that the picture is of the One Direction singer. However, a rep for the band confirmed to E! News that it is indeed Styles. Furthermore, the 19-year-old pop star's left-arm ship tattoo can be seen in the picture.

The butterfly ink is just the latest in a long string of body artwork for Styles. Already, he has nearly 30 tattoos, according to the Daily Mail. In addition to the ship, he also has a black heart tattoo, and one of two birds higher up on his chest near his collarbone.

Whether or not Styles was aware when he got the tattoo, the symbol of the butterfly is recognized as a trademark of transgendered individuals to those in the LGBT community, symbolizing transformation, reported Metro UK.
