Harry Anderson, 'Night Court' Star, Dies At 65
Actor Harry Anderson, whose most famous role was as Judge Harry Stone on Night Court, passed away last week at the age of 65. On Wednesday, TMZ obtained a copy of Anderson’s death certificate, confirming a stroke was his cause of death.
Anderson died in his home in Asheville, North Carolina on April 16. The Asheville Police Department issued a statement saying, “This morning at 6:41 a.m. the Asheville Police Department responded to the home of actor Harry Anderson where he was found deceased. No foul play is suspected.” His wife noted that Anderson suffered from “a series of strokes earlier this year.”
According to the document TMZ procured, which was filed on April 23, the cause of death was listed as a cardioembolic cerebrovascular accident. That’s a stroke incurred when the heart pumps undesirable materials “into the brain’s circulation.” Contributing causes are listed as influenza and a heart disease.
