Harrison Ford said he is not up for talking about Star Wars: Episode VII “yet” in an interview with Renegade Cinema. Speculation continues to swirl over whether or not Ford, along with Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, will reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, respectively, in the new installment, directed by J.J. Abrams. Ford did offer some general praise of Abrams independent of Star Wars.

“I think he’s fantastic,” Ford said of Abrams. “I did his first movie, Regarding Henry, with Mike Nichols. A wonderful talent. Extraordinary guy.”

But Ford certainly hasn't helped diffuse any rumors with his recent statements alluding to his return.

“I think it’s almost true,” Ford told WGN TV last week with regard to the return of the original films’ stars. “I’m looking forward to it. Not in the bag yet, but I think it’s happening.”

While hypotheticals continue to float around for a film that won’t be released until 2015, Ford has a number of confirmed projects hitting theaters in the next year. He will play Colonel Hyrum Graff in the film adaptation of Ender’s Game, as well as appear in the thriller Paranoia, the comedy Anchorman: The Legend Continues, and the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, which premieres Apr. 12. —Hal Sundt
