Harrison Ford had another plane-related incident last Friday, but he will be able to fly again without any penalties.
Ford, the iconic actor who played Han Solo in Star Wars, was piloting his own private plane when he mistakenly chose the wrong lane for landing at John Wayne Airport in California last Friday.
He almost hit another aircraft that was just landing.
Following the incident, however, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began an investigation but ultimately did not issue any penalties. The agency said on Wednesday that they acknowledge Ford’s “long history of compliance” and his good attitude toward the investigation.
“The FAA conducted a full investigation into the matter… and determined that no administrative or enforcement action was warranted,” said Ford.
“He immediately acknowledged the mistake and apologized to ATC for the error,” said Ford’s publicist. “No one was injured and there was never any danger of a collision.”
In 2015, Ford crash landed his plane at a Los Angeles golf course after the engine failed. The investigators later revealed that the incident was purely mechanical.
