Halsey made fans feel out of this world when one day this week after she debuted her new rainbow-colored hair, she shows off her new hair while seductively licking a lollipop in the singer’s newest Instagram post. “Nothing will ever be the same,” the “You Should Be Sad” singer captioned.
The 2017 Grammy nominee recently spoke out against the Grammy Academy after 2021 nominations were released and the singer did not receive any despite releasing her album Manic earlier this year. “The Grammys are an elusive process. It can be about behind the scenes private performances, knowing the right people, campaigning through the grapevine, with just enough handshakes and ‘bribes’ that can be just ambiguous enough to pass as ‘not-bribes’,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “And if you get that far, it’s about committing to exclusive TV performances and making sure you help the Academy make their millions in advertising on the night of the show. Perhaps sometimes it is (!!) but it’s not always about the music or quality or culture.”
Fellow recording artist, The Weeknd also slammed the Academy in a tweet writing, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency,” after being snubbed on nominations for his Blinding Lights album. “Collaboratively planning a performance for weeks to not being invited? In my opinion zero nominations = you’re not invited!”

The week prior to nominations it was announced that The Weeknd will be headlining the 2021 Super Bowl Halftime show.
Halsey, born Ashley Frangipane, kicked off her Manic World Tour in February but had to postpone the rest of the tour to 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic had made it impossible to gather to celebrate live music. In November 2020, the singer got even more vulnerable than she has in the past when she released I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry, sharing the highs and lows of her family and romantic relationships while living with bipolar disorder.
Halsey will make her acting debut in the television adaptation of YA novel They Wish They Were Us starring Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney. The singer was the host and musical guest in a February episode of Saturday Night Live.
