Hallmark Cards has pulled a silver and blue wrapping paper adorned with geometric designs after a customer complained that it reminded her of a Swastika.
A customer at a Walgreens in California complained to the store after seeing the wrapping paper in a Hanukkah display, saying she thought the design reminded her of the Nazi symbol. The complaint was relayed to Hallmark, which has decided to pull the paper design completely and stop production.
Julie Elliot, a spokesperson for Hallmark reportedly said that the paper was not specifically designed for Hanukkah and apologized for any offense it had caused.
