After almost eight years, Halle Berry has finalized her divorce settlement from ex-Olivier Martinez. The settlement confirmed that Berry and Martinez will share joint legal custody of their son Maceo, 9.

Berry will pay Martinez around a total of $8,000 per month in child support. The cost of their son’s private school tuition, uniforms, school supplies and any extracurricular activities will also be covered by Berry. In addition, for any income that Berry receives above $2 million, Martinez will get an additional support of 4.3%.

Berry filed for divorce with Martinez in 2015 after two years of marriage. They were then declared legally single by a judge in 2016. Despite the ruling, Berry and Martinez still continued to mediate over child support, custody and alimony.

Berry is also a mom to a 15-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, whom she broke up with in 2010.

Since April 2020, Berry is been dating musician Van Hunt. She has said her relationship with Hunt is fulfilling and has made her a better parent.

“I’m trying to teach them to march to the beat of their own drum. Be true to themselves, and not be followers, but be leaders and innovators,” Berry told Women’s Health Magazine.

Hunt worked on the music for Berry’s directorial debut, Bruised. He worked on the song “Automatic Women,” which won Outstanding Original Song at the Black Reel Awards.
