Halle Berry attended the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual grants banquet at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif., in an eye-catching blue number.
Berry, 49, stole the red carpet at the HFPA event in a teal Noam Hanoch dress that featured black lace and sheer accents. Berry paired the bold tea-length dress with a pair of black strappy Jimmy Choo sandals. She wore her hair pulled back and with her bangs slightly swept to the side.
Berry’s fit figure got a lot of attention at the HFPA event in Los Angeles. The Oscar-winning actress revealed that the key to her physique is avoiding sugar and limiting carbs.
“I’m diabetic [and] I totally changed my diet and workout regimen a few years ago,” Berry said. “I don’t eat fried foods or refined sugar — only natural sugar in fruit and vegetables. And I don’t eat carbs a lot.”
“I avoid sugar and that helps with anti-aging,” Berry added. “I use Xylitol as a sugar substitute and give it to my daughter. I strongly believe in talking about nutrition at an early age and setting a good example.”
Berry was joined at the HFPA banquet by singer Lady Gaga and actor Jake Gyllenhaal. They gave out more that $2 million in grants towards nonprofit arts groups from the HFPA’s earnings from the annual Golden Globe Awards.
They emphasized, “There won’t be another deal. There may be one-offs, but that’s it.”
Seibert speculated, “If struggle without context is baffling, heaven without struggle isn’t very interesting.”
The shooter was identified to be John R. Lyons, 24, of Westchester, Illinois.
