Hailey Baldwin On Justin Bieber Romance: ‘We Are Not an Exclusive Couple’

Hailey Baldwin has weighed in on those rumors of a romance between her and her longtime friend, singer Justin Bieber.

“We are not an exclusive couple. He’s about to go on tour,” Baldwin said of their relationship to E! News. “Relationships at this age are already complicated, but I don’t really like to talk about it because it’s between me and him.

“The thing is, I live a very public life and I have to keep things personal or else I have no personal life. It’s very difficult,” Baldwin added to the outlet. “It really is my personal business. And I like to think my relationships are not between me the person and the whole entire world. It’s hard. I don’t think people are really able to understand if they’re not in that position.”

Baldwin’s comments come on the heels of the release of excerpts from Bieber’s cover story for the March 2016 issue of GQ. In response to a question about Baldwin, the model daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, Bieber admitted he had a lot of love for her.

“[She’s] someone I really love,” he told the magazine. “We spend a lot of time together.”

Bieber, like Baldwin, noted that the two are not exclusive. The singer suggested that fears about messing up the relationship keep him from wanting to make what they have official just yet.

“What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right?” Bieber said. “If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. It’s really hard to fix wounds like that. It’s so hard … I just don’t want to hurt her.”
