What started as a joke for Gwyneth Paltrow and her site Goop became an instant hit. A $75 candle, named, um, “This Smells Like My Vagina,” has sold out on her online store.
The candle is a blend of geranium, citrusy bergamot and cedar absolutes, mixed with Damask rose and ambrette seed. The idea is to put customers in the mind of fantasy, seduction and a sophisticated warmth.
Paltrow is no stranger to sparking a little controversy with her site, having advised readers in 2008 to purchase a $15,000 24k gold vibrator and vaginal jade eggs.
She also has turned her attention to the world of BDSM, promising to fulfill consumers ‘fantasies.’
Paltrow, who made her career as an actress, has an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actress for Shakespeare in Love, as well as an Emmy for her guest appearance on Glee.
She has since turned to her company Goop where she has expressed her main focus.

“I’ve never said that I am quitting acting,” Paltrow said. “What I say is Goop is my full-time passion, and being the founder and CEO of Goop is what I do all day every day, and occasionally when something is the right thing and it works out around my children and my Goop life, I’m able to participate.”
