Gwyneth Paltrow remains so close to ex Chris Martin following their split that she thinks of him as a brother.
Since announcing their split – or “conscious uncoupling ” – Paltrow and Martin have shown themselves to be remarkably amicable with one another. They are so amicable, in fact, that Paltrow and Martin’s new relationship is more like that of the sister-brother variety.
“We’re still very much a family, even though we don’t have a romantic relationship,” Paltrow told Glamour magazine. “He’s like my brother.”
Paltrow and Martin, who have yet to formally divorce, still have sleepovers at each other’s homes for the sake of he kids, and have an open door policy with one another.
“He’s been away for two weeks [promoting his album]. Last night he got in at midnight and slept here so he could surprise the kids in the morning, we could all have breakfast, and he could take them to school,” Paltrow told Glamour. “So… we’re not living together, but he’s more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa — I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids. We’ll have a weekend all together; holidays, we’re together.
These days, the Coldplay frontman is dating Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis, and Paltrow has moved on with producer Brad Falchuk.
