Gwyneth Paltrow wore a daring flower piece on her shoulder to the Oscars Sunday night, where she was on hand to introduce a performance by Tim McGraw.

Paltrow, 42, walked the red carpet in a skin-tight custom-made Ralph & Russo Couture gown. The one-sleeve, floor-length gown was made of baby pink silk-crepe and, most noticeably, featured an oversized organza rosette sitting right atop her shoulder. The rest of the dress was simple and form-fitting. Paltrow paired the gown with big, statement earrings and clean, pulled back hair and makeup.

Paltrow showed off her look on Instagram before taking to the red carpet, writing, “it takes a village.”

Twitter, however, was divided in their response to the floral detail, with many comparing Paltrow’s gown to wedding cake.
