Gwen Stefani Slammed For Sharing Heavily Edited Photos Of Herself
Gwen Stefani has always been beautiful, and while she’s only one of many celebrities to use Photoshop, some fans are calling her out for not showing her “authenticity.”
Recently, her beauty brand GXVE, which was launched in March of last year, posted a heavily edited video of the singer on their Instagram page.
Some fans didn’t take too well to the flawless appearance of the Grammy winner and asked for a post of Stefani without the filter.
“Would love to see her without a filter,” one fan suggested.
“Gwen what happened to your authenticity?” another asked.
Some, however, commented on the amount of makeup the 53-year-old was wearing in the video.
“C’mon Gwen, you don’t need that make-up. You’re born as naturally beautiful. We all the people love you and your soul. Not your make-up! Love you sis!”
Last month, the beauty brand also posted a heavily photoshopped picture of the singer modeling their new products.
The post prompted one fan to comment, “Not so much photoshop please. That’s not what 50+ year olds look like. All of them have some degree of wrinkles and that is beautiful too. No need to lie.”

Last week, the pop singer posted a video of herself singing “It’s My Life” with her band, No Doubt. Fans appreciated her “muted” makeup look and said, “You are so beautiful with no makeup.”
Stefani’s photo editing decisions aren’t the only things that are being criticized.
Earlier this year, the “Hollaback Girl” singer faced backlash for identifying as Japanese in an interview with Asian American journalist Jesa Marie Calor.
