Gwen Stefani Best Dressed Grammy's 2015
Gwen Stefani could face legal action after a fan broke her leg at one of her concerts.
Live Nation is also named as a defendant in the suit, which seeks compensatory and punitive damages for Lisa Keri Stricklin. The woman broke her tibia when, she claims, Stefani incited a crowd rush at a concert in July 2016.
“Just fill in anywhere you like!” Stefani allegedly said. “Who cares about your lawn chairs? You can get new ones.” The concert took place at the PNC Pavilion, and Stefani encouraged those in the lawn portion to rush into the seated half of the amphitheater. Stricklin claims she was injured when fans jumped over the barricades and ropes, and into the reserved seating section, where she was with friends.
“After the patron crowd rush and the resulting injury to the Plaintiff, Stefani announced through her microphone and the loud speakers throughout PNC Pavilion that ‘I got in so much trouble for telling you guys to come up here,'” the lawsuit read. “‘It was fun… But you guys kind of have to move out of the fire lane, or else I’m dead… So can you please get back to your seats?'”
A rep for Live Nation said they would “not comment on pending or ongoing litigation.” Stefani has not responded.
