Gwen Stefani Drops ‘Misery’ Music Video, Song Inspired By Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani dropped a new music video on Tuesday for her song, “Misery,” from her This Is What The Truth Feels Like album. The music video is already number one on iTunes.
The new music video features Stefani’s multiple bold costume changes. Some of Stefani’s costumes included long dramatic dresses, leotards, huge flowers and Japanese harajuku designs. The “Misery” music video also includes smoke machines, a black horse and quirky dancers.
Directed by Sophie Muller, who Stefani has worked with on her “Used To Love You,” music video, the new video takes place in various areas in a warehouse.
“Misery” is one of the songs on the album that’s inspired by Stefani’s beau, Blake Shelton.
Stefani can be seen petting a horse during the second half of the “Misery” music video. Some have speculated that the horse could be a reference to her country-singing boyfriend. Shelton also bought Stefani a horse last year, so the horse in the music video could be a tribute to him.
