Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have confirmed the dating rumors after two months of speculation.
Representatives for both Stefani and Shelton confirmed the pairing Wednesday. Stefani’s rep elaborated in a statement, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating.”
On Tuesday, Stefani had deflected a question about her rumored relationship with Shelton from Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. When Seacrest pressed her on the matter, Stefani, who’d opened up about her split from Gavin Rossdale, said, “I’m not going to answer that right now, Ryan. I think I’ve given enough of myself this morning to you,” adding, “But I think he’s hot, don’t you?”
Since the confirmation, sources close to the couple have shared more details about the relationship between the two The Voice mentors.
“Blake and Gwen have begun dating,” an insider told People magazine. “They’ve been supporting each other through a difficult time and they’re really happy together.”
“Everyone is thrilled because they’re both incredibly nice people,” the insider added.
Shelton, who divorced from his wife Miranda Lambert back in July, was first rumored to be romancing Stefani back in September – one month after she went public with her divorce from Rossdale. The rumors went into overdrive over Halloween weekend, when the two were spotted at multiple parties together and were pictured with their arms wrapped around each other at mutual pal and coworker Adam Levine’s bash.
