Guns N’ Roses Star Axl Rose Accused Of Violently Raping ‘Penthouse’ Pet In 1989

A lawsuit filed on Wednesday accused Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose of using “fame, status and power” to rape a Penthouse Pet in a Manhattan hotel room in 1989.

Model Sheila Kennedy alleged that Rose violently attacked and raped her after the two met in a New York nightclub. According to the lawsuit, Kennedy had been invited to the club by a Guns N’ Roses fan, though she was not one herself.

After meeting Kennedy, Rose allegedly invited her to his hotel room but did not allow the friend to come, as she was “not hot enough.”

Rose supplied Kennedy and his other guests with cocaine, champagne and other substances. The lawsuit states that the two shared a kiss, and Kenedy was “open to sleeping with [Rose] if things progressed and they continued to find each other attractive.”

Kennedy became uncomfortable when Rose began having “aggressive” sex with another female model in front of her. Kennedy allegedly left the room but was found by a “furious” Rose who then “loomed threateningly” over her.

The lawsuit states that Rose knocked Kennedy to the floor and, “like a caveman,” dragged her by her hair to his room. Rose then tied Kennedy’s hands together behind her back and appeared to be in a “sexual, volatile rage” as he attacked her.

“He treated her like property used solely for his sexual pleasure,” the complaint says, noting that Kennedy was left with “lifelong emotional, physical, psychological and financial impacts.”

Rose has denied the allegations against him.

“Simply put, this incident never happened,” said his attorney in a statement. “Notably, these fictional claims were filed the day before the New York State filing deadline expires. Though he doesn’t deny the possibility of a fan photo taken in passing, Mr. Rose has no recollection of ever meeting or speaking to the Plaintiff and has never heard about these fictional allegations prior to today. Mr. Rose is confident this case will be resolved in his favor.”

In 2016, Rose made news when he demanded that Google remove “fat” photos of him from internet searches.

Error happened.
