Bassist Duff McKagan might be a part of the rumored Guns N’ Roses reunion tour.
Amid rumors of a reunion, Guns N’ Roses sent out a holiday card that featured, among other members of the band, McKagan. A picture of the card was posted on the Guns N’ Roses Facebook page that showed McKagan in the mix. After the picture started to cause a stir, it was removed from the timeline.
It would come as little surprise if McKagaen plays bass on a Guns N’ Roses reunion tour. Tommy Stinson, who was the most recent bassist for the band, played with them during their 2014 Las Vegas residency.
Earlier this year, Stinson suggested that it would be unlikely that he could stay on with the band – though that wouldn’t be because of a lack of desire.
“I really have no idea what’s going on. I didn’t quit the gig or walk away from it. We just all sort of left it in Vegas [GN’R had a Vegas residency in April 2014],” Stinson said. “I’ll be honest with you: [Axl Rose] was always very good to me, and it was always a really good gig.”
“It wasn’t necessarily the easiest gig, but it was always good. I have nothing but gratitude for it,” Stinson added. “If they got [the modern lineup] together again and wanted me to play, of course I’d have to think about it.”
