Guitarist Nita Strauss, who had been playing alongside the iconic rocker Alice Cooper for the past eight years, announced that some of her planned shows with Cooper’s band and her own solo act have been canceled. She humorously assured fans that there was no drama with Cooper, and also wrote, “I AM NOT PREGNANT!!!” in her announcement.

Strauss wrote on Instagram that she will “not be joining the Alice Cooper band for the upcoming fall tour,” but didn’t discuss the circumstances of these cancellations. She ensured fans that she will “be on stage much sooner than you think,” but didn’t give any more hints about how that would be happening.

Cooper spoke glowingly about Strauss’ abilities in an interview with a Detroit radio station. The guitarist “just keeps getting better,” Cooper said excitedly and added, “She’s such a great chick. Gets on stage, and she’s a force of nature unto herself.”

Strauss began playing music in a touring band when she was a teenager. She has also played for groups like Consume the Fire, Femme Fatale and the video-game supergroup Critical Hit. Check out Strauss’s single “Dead Inside” here, which features Disturbed vocalist David Draiman.
