Musician Grimes (born Claire Elise Bouche) has made a public plea to her ex-partner, Elon Musk, to respond to her calls regarding their child’s “medical crisis.”

In a series of social media posts this week, Bouche addressed Musk, “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”

Though Grimes did not specify the medical emergency, she further emphasized the severity of the circumstance. “If you don’t want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can, so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”

When criticized for making their dispute public, Grimes responded to the comments, “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f—ing respond, and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at.”

Upon news that her tweets stopped showing up, Grimes announced that she was deleting the posts, “because if they’re being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids.”

Grimes and Musk share three children, X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Tau Techno, 2.

Musk made headlines earlier this month at a press conference when he disregarded the White House’s traditionally formal dress code, opting to wear a black T-shirt instead. He was additionally accompanied by his son, who made various interjections throughout the conference. Nicknamed the “Shadow President,” since Donald Trump‘s inauguration, the public has taken note of Musk’s tremendous power, which seems to outweigh the president himself.

Bouche responded to X Æ A-Xii’s appearance on television in a tweet, “He should not be in public like this.”

She added, “But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

Musk has 13 children with four different women, the most recent of which was revealed last week. On February 14, 2025, conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair tweeted that she had given birth to Musk’s 13th child five months ago. In a now-deleted post, St. Clair attempted to get Musk’s attention over social media, writing, “Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days, and you have not responded.”

St. Clair’s lawyer issued a statement declaring, “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley.”

As Trump’s appointed lead of the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk has quickly made strides to reduce government spending by laying off federal employees.
