Grimes’ Mother Begs Elon Musk To Allow His Son To See Dying His Great Grandmother

In a public appeal, Sandy Garossino, mother of musician Grimes, has reached out to tech mogul Elon Musk via social media, urging him to allow his children to visit their dying great-grandmother.

Garossino posted a series of messages on X, formerly Twitter, addressing Musk directly. She claims Musk is violating a custody agreement with Grimes, whose legal name is Claire Elise Boucher, by withholding their 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, and other children.

According to Garossino, her 93-year-old mother is in end-of-life palliative care and wishes to see Grimes’ children, including the youngest whom she has never met. A planned visit for the great-grandmother’s birthday was reportedly canceled, devastating the family.

Musk was spotted at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, though it remains unclear if X Æ A-Xii is with him. Garossino expressed concern about the whereabouts of the other children, stating they were expected to be with Grimes in Canada.

The couple, who were together from 2018 to 2021, share three children. Musk has fathered a total of 12 children with three different women.

This public plea is the latest development in an ongoing custody battle between Musk and Grimes. In September 2023, Musk sued Grimes to “establish the parent-child relationship,” bringing their private disputes into the public eye.

Grimes herself has previously used social media to communicate with Musk regarding custody issues. In 2023, she publicly asked Musk to allow her to see their son and respond to her lawyer.

The dispute has taken on additional complexity with recent comments by Musk about his transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson. In an interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, Musk claimed his child had “died” and that he was “tricked” into signing documents authorizing her transition. Grimes subsequently expressed support for Vivian on social media.

As the custody battle unfolds, Garossino’s emotional appeal highlights the personal toll on the family. She emphasizes the urgency of the situation, given her mother’s declining health, and implores Musk to honor their agreement and allow the children to see their great-grandmother before it’s too late.
