‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spinoff ‘Station 19’ Trailer [VIDEO]

The trailer for the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff series Station 19 has just dropped.

Station 19 features Ben Warren played by Jason George leaving behind his life as a surgeon to become a firefighter. The new cast seems to have the same type of drama as its parent show Grey’s Anatomy. In one of the first few scenes, one of the new characters revealed is the Captain’s daughter who is intensely kissing one of her fellow firefighters. The next scene shows them rushing into a fire that ends up injuring the Captain.

The station is three blocks away from Grey Sloan Memorial, so fans can look forward to some character crossovers. In the trailer Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) ends up comforting the daughter of the Captain; she brings her to one of the famed supply rooms of the hospital to cry it out. Once she’s done crying Grey says, “Okay, that’s enough. Put your game face on.” The trailer continues on to the Captain telling his daughter that he needs to step down, her reply was clean and simple, ‘If you have to step down, I want to step up.’ ”

Everything isn’t all serious and sex filled, there are also funny moments. There’s a final scene when three firefighters find a puppy hiding under a chair. One of the firefighters calls “dibs” on taking the puppy out to the public and another one says he “can’t call dibs on the puppy.” His response was “I just did.”

Station 19 premieres March 22 on ABC.
