Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist filmed the highly-anticipated The Flash-Supergirl crossover episode in Los Angeles Monday.
Gustin, outfitted in his The Flash superhero costume, was at Benoist’s side while filming the special event episode of Supergirl. The Flash aka Barry Allen and Supergirl aka Kara Danvers appeared to be teaming up to take on a pair of villains in the scene that was shot outdoors earlier this week. Italia Ricci as the Silver Banshee was fighting the heroes, as was another villain, who looked to be taking a special interest in Calista Flockhart‘s character, Cat Grant.
On Instagram, Gustin posted a few pictures from the Supergirl set, revealing that the conditions were a bit warm. “Back in National City where the sun is always shining,” he captioned his first picture. “This incredibly uninteresting picture was taken from the comfort of my chair on set that I was too lazy to get up from. #CurrentView #Supergirl.”
“Back in Van after what was the sunniest/hottest experience in my Flash suit I do believe,” Gustin captioned a picture of himself waiting to film a take. “This pap picture is my only current evidence.”
The Flash crossover Supergirl episode will air on CBS March 28.
