‘The Grand Tour’ Films With Jeremy Clarkson & Richard Hammond In Croatia

Ex-Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond are filming new episodes of their motoring show The Grand Tour on the Croatian island of Pag.

The pair is gearing up for their second season, set to hit Amazon Prime in the fall. Clarkson made his way into a bright blue Audi, while his partner jumped into an Ariel Nomad for the cameras. They spent the day filming on the Zigljen ferry dock. The pair appeared to race, but Hammond in his red 4×4 buggy was no match for the performance car.

Another presenter on the show, James May, was nowhere to be found during that day of filming. Clarkson also recently gave some insight into the timeline for the new season in a live Facebook stream. “It will go out this year at the same time the last one went out… whenever that was,” wrote The Daily Mail, indicating a November start date.

Filming, however, has seen its issues, including Hammond’s injury in a motorcycle crash in Mozambique. He confirmed the mishap on their new website DriveTribe, saying, “Thanks for enquiries re my slight shunt whilst filming for GT. I can confirm that yes, I fell off a bike, many times, in fact and yes, I banged my head and everything else. But life goes on,” he said. “Can’t tell you more yet about the how and why of it; that’s all for later in the year on the show.”

The show is set to visit many exotic locations during its second year, having already been to Finland, South Africa, and the UAE in its first. This year they plan to visit the U.S. and Georgia as well, along with many others.
